Well, I found my old 89 Camaro in the salvage yard a few days ago. It almost made me cry- I thought it went to a good home.

After I fishtailed in my contractor's yard and crushed the door and rocker panel into a 2 ft wide fence pole, I traded it for a transmission to go into my 84, to a guy that only deals in F-bodies. Then a couple years ago I ran across it on Myspace and I talked to the girl restoring it, and went and visited it. I was SO happy someone was giving it new life because the people I originally bought it from were very concerned it was going to a good home. They were the original owners, and they told me to take care of it. So I was crushed when I saw it in the salvage yard. I had to have it back, but they do not sell whole cars to anyone, some red tape B.S. But I did get the front end. I was going to get a new front end soon anyways, and to have a piece of my first Camaro, how could any true car lover pass that up?

Why's it in the body section? lol

I wanted to show people that difference and to let people know what it took.

It was pretty easy except I had to swap out the WHOLE bumper not just the cover. I had to splice in new pig tails for the signal lights, and I had to drill new holes into the fender for the Gfx.

Besides all that, it went pretty straightforward with no big surprises. I had a feeling I would need to swap the bumpers, so I got it beforehand anyways.

Here's the before and after. Sorry no in between pics- I was in a hurry to get it done before it got cold out.
