Maro hood on a Bird?

So, I want to get the 4th Season Knight Rider bumper for my Firebird, and Just use the Headlights in the fender as my Primary headlights... 1) is this Practical? 2) could I put a camaro hood on the bird to cover where the Headlights would be?

A woulda showed you this exact same question was answered recently.

In a nutshell...NO...Camaro & Firebird hoods are not interchangeable.

Re: Maro hood on a Bird?

I'm sure others make them too, but that was the first I found. Although, not the site I was looking for.

Re: Maro hood on a Bird?

GUess I'll look around a Bit more. Fiberglass would be nice though... Maybe I can find a local guy to do it just the way I want... ? Eh, who knows. But, When I thought of the Headlight delete theory, first thing that came to mind was Camaro Hoods... But, you helped Stephen, thanks.

NO WAY you have a Camaro hood bolted onto a Firebird nose & it close. Show us the pic......From the strut towers forward, the Firebirds slope down about 3".

In other words...You put a full Camaro nose on a Firebird.

But a Camaro hood will not fit & close, with a Firebird nose, which is what the OP wanted to do.

Your post only served to add confusion to the subject.

Re: Maro hood on a Bird?

And the headlight doors are this RIGID plastic (not fiberglass or urethane like the nose.....or metal like the hood) so I'm not so sure they that they could be "welded" to the hood to fill the notches in either. Probably COULD be done, but I'd (myself) would worry about the strength of those corner "patches".
