cover removal
Can someone please tell me how to get access to the two screws just in front of the rear wheel that hold up the back of the rocker ground effects? I can see them, just not how to get them out.

Re: cover removal
you need to take your rear interior speaker cover off the whole plastic piece. you will them be able to see the stud and be able to take the speed nut off

Depends on the speaker system in your car. if you can remove the speaker and or speaker cover and have full open access to the 1/4 panel, reach in and you'll feel the speed nut. If you have insulation surrounding the speaker, you need to remove the plastics to get that out of the opening and then you can reach in. Not all cars have the speaker insulation.

Re: cover removal
Thanks for all the replies. Mine is a 1985 Z28 and I got to the nut from inside. You have to remove the rear plastic "arm rest" panel below the fabric speaker cover. The nut requires a 7/16 deep well socket. It came off very easy once I got to it.
Thanks and here's to warmer weather!
