i have an 87 iroc i just picked up for $500 and i have a problem with one of the doors, its rusted all the way thru and im going to replace it, but i cant get it apart, how would i open the door to take it off so i can replace it, and the latch on the hatch is also broke, im new so bare with me, thanx for any help in advance

EDIT: me and my cousin had to engage the hatch and hold it, while he lifted it

 

Does the door handle release the lock from the striker? If thats the problem you probably have to remove the door panel. Explain a bit better and someone will surely have an answer or suggestion.

 

ok, sorry, like i said im new anyways, the door latch is completly broken, inside the door, and im planning on replacing it so...and the door lock is complelty broke also...i have another white iroc-z door...just need to figure out how to replace...thank you

 

I would probably cut a hole in the door if you dont want to damage the panel.
