I've been lookin around and haven't been able to find it on any other camaro, so I don't think it's original on my '86. It looks very similar to the original ones, but the depth of the indentions and the "vent" things shouldn't be there.

Yes, that is an 82-83 Z28 hood from a Crossfire injection car. That's the only thing they ever came on.

 

are they anything special? cause i got one for $30 to replace the hood on my iroc

the ram air flaps go straight into a "special" chamber

 

That's a 1982-83 fiberglass Z28 hood, but it looks like the one for the carbed engine, without functional flaps. There should be cosmetic inserts made of an aluminum-based alloy bolted in the recesses, just like you see on mine:

 

Yeah, that is deff a non functional like mine. I bought replacement fake flaps from Ecklers Camaro (they call them louvers)
