Yes they make good paint. it sprays well and covers well, allowing a decent paint job considering it is spray paint.

Martin Senour is actually Sherwin Williams paint. The TEC/base is on par with any of the high quality paint lines on the market. Their Crossfire (now Finish-One) is a very user friendly paint line, slightly better than Nason and other similar shop lines.

I will be using the Torch Red from them to see how it comes out. I got enough paint for two camaros to play with. I will post pics when I finish. This will be my first paint job. Other than doing body work and priming vehicles. Ive been practicing spraying a fender, went on smooth.

 

Make sure you get the err PPS sheets. I think theyre 'PPS'. NapaOnline or whatever will give you PDFs with all the mixing ratios, and what the cured substrates need to be along with drying times. Make sure your primer is compatible and I recommend the 15410/15420 clearcoat...its awesome.

OH Make SURE you read the dates on the containers since they renamed the Cross/Fire line 'Finish-1' So theres a lot of old product out. Your Napa should have a cross reference chart for the Finish-1/Crossfire.

VOC's are the solvent compounds in many things. Even so called 'waterbased' automotive paints are actually water-BORNE which means they still have some solvents and are not to be thought of as SAFE or especially NON TOXIC. Theyre still poison. Most low VOC paints cure slowly and are hard to use in a home shop environment

A LOT of guys are having problems with the waterborne stuff. they dont 'air dry' well at ALL

Moral is? Use a NIOSH respirator, long sleeves, eyewear, gloves and the highest VOC paints available in your area
