Headlights way too dim

I went through this problem before with my Jeep Comanche. I rewired the headlights with new relays and they were bright like brand new. I don't really want to go through that again.. I was just thinking about buying some aftermarket projector lights. Has anyone had this problem and tried correcting it?

Im thinking about getting those black projectors off ebay.. I have the taillight covers but don't like the headlight covers so I want to get the black to match. Just wondering if anyone has ever used them before?

Re: Headlights way too dim

i bought the "diamond" clear lights off ebay they convert your old lights to h4 bulb and you have to re-wire the old plugs to adapt h4 which is very easy to do i also added an hid conversion kit to convert the h4 to hid it is the best! what you can do is get the black projectors off ebay but heres the thing those are fake projectors looks like some fake plastic stuff used where a real projector should go you should also buy real projectors and remove the fake ones then get those installed to the housing thats what im going to do and make sure to get an hid kit conversion for whatever bulb youre using it will look so bad *** i get so many people check out my car and ask how did you get hid's on that old car? i say creative

You realize those are not real projectors & dont function any where near projectors. In fact they will reflect less light back out.Making your situation even worse.Especially the black versions(blk absorbs more light).Depending on the seller, it even says on the auction "these are for show".If you want real projectors it will have to be a retrofit. If you want to keep it simple just get silver stars.HIDs perform best with projectors too.Ive done this conversion.

I run the silver stars in my Fox-Body Mustang, the lighting in those cars is horrible. They work really good, and that's with smoked lenses.

Silver Stars FTW

Re: Headlights way too dim

Thanks guys. I will just rewire the lights and go from there with upgrading. Where is a good place to get the H4 conversion material?
