I have a camaro, and was just wondering if any of you guys could give me an estimate of what you think it would cost. I would take it to a body shop but my engine is in somewhat pieces and I need to know a price so I can get the engine back together knowing what my budget is. I basically want just a regular Gloss Black Paint with the Gold on the bottom (Thats how it is now, just the paint is all faded) and the passenger side door has all kinds of runs from the other guy who tried to paint with duplicolor. And I need the door panels tightenend. Id rather not go to maaco because I heard that unless you pay 1500 for fricking paint then you get a crappy paint job ( i know this because 4 kids at my school got maaco paint jobs) But if someone could give me an estimate of what they think it would cost or even if you had your car painted and you know the exact price you paid, but like I said i only want it gloss black with the gold trim.

 

Any quality paint job is going to cost you a couple thousand. Most people dont know how much hard work and time goes into painting a car if done the right way. Ive seen some Maacos put out good work you just have to go and look at their work depending on the area you live in. You can also save a ton of money if you do all the prep work first and then take the car to the shop. Its best to take some pictures of your car and go to a few bodyshops and ask around about pricing and what you can do to save some money.
