Does anyone make the targa seal rails to replace rusted ones?
Hey guys,
I just took off my seals to see how bad the rust damage was causing the leak in my roof and despite rust everywhere the majority of it was in the center bar and surface rust, I've rubbed it right back with the wire brush and the body is fine, its just the tacked on rails that the seals sit in on the t-tops that have eaten away.
Does anyone make or manufacture there to just spot weld back on where the old one was?
I'm in australia so don't have the luxury of going to the wreckers and cutting the pieces out myself, and if anywhere would rust on these cars, that would be the first thing to go, so i assume someone would be making money out of it?

Hawks sells new GM T-Top bars.

Not exactly cheap but it is new metal, not much risk of getting another rusted piece buying a used one.

yeah i'm already ordering that part, but i'm talking about the sheet metal along the back of the t-top, and front.
The seal sits in the rails of that centre-piece, than goes round the back and stops just at the back edge of the door.

if its just surface rust and not rotted through, just clean it up real good and get yourself some POR-15.Thats what I had to do on my 91 and turned out great.
And no,noone makes those pieces if you have rot,all you can do is fab pieces from sheetmetal or find a donor car.
