I have a 92 Z-28 with the hood scoops in bad shape. There is a metal mesh insert where the scoop is depressed (see pic). Did cars come with this metal piece stock? Also, does anybody know where I can buy new inserts? My scoops are in good shape minus the paint so just would need inserts. Probably could make some pretty easy from a sheet of metal. Great design btw from Chevy, water just sits in these depressions!
