Bad Cancer on T-top Roof

Ok so the deal is, I have an 86 z28 Iroc-z.

It has t-top and yes they leak, asfore the cancer the back portion of my roof near the trunk lid is so rusted that if I wanted too I could push my hand directly through it. The front thinner portion is not so bad just alot of thick rusted bumps. But the tracks for the t-top seals to sit in are rusted beyond belief. Im wondering if the easiest fix would be to get a body shop to weld in a whole new roof from the a pillars to the back window. Any suggestions?

Post some pics so I can get a better description of the extent of the damage. IMO these cars are not worth cutting a roof off to replace just yet , besides for what a body shop would charge you could buy another car. Unless the car has sentimental value.
