Im taking my driver side door panel off to fix a misaligned window glass and i figure while im in there i might as well fix everything.
So my car has one of those limp sideview mirrors that you have to stick a piece of cardboard under to hold it upright. Is there any method to tighten the cables holding it back up? Or will i just need a whole new mirror housing and all?
Oh and does anybody know how to remove the window crank from the door? The guide I read was for camaros with power windows...

The window crank has a clip under it - looks like a paperclip shaped into a "C" shape - you have to get under the crank and pull/push it out - they make tools to get in there with, but I usually managed witha small skinny screwdriver and a few choise words.
Sounds like the mirror may have a busted pin on the backside - see if you can get to the screws in the housing (philips) and get them out - I think the are 3 - then maybe you can pull it out far enough to see what the issue is.
A suggestion on the window - make small adjustments, and drive for a while to see how it goes - door panel removal is something you don't want to do very much of, as the panels tend to tear away from the top plastic. Wile you have the panel off, clean up the window tracks and regrease with White Lithium, as well as the locking mechanisms and whatever else needs it in there.
Hope any of that helps!

the mirror is held on by 2 nuts and they can come lose. once your get the panel off you will see them. tighten as needed.
Okay thanks guys, I'll get that off and get it fixed up sometime this week. Also apreciate the tips on the window.
