Small dent on quarter panel crease line

Hi all. Just looking to get some tips and pointers here. I am trying to fix a pretty small dent on my rear quarter panel. Unfortunately it's right on the body crease, and I've got the area perfect, but that friggin crease is not to my liking yet. It doesn't flow like factory, though it is very close. I'm using autobody icing and a small 3.5x5 inch block to try to get it straight.

Any tips on anything different to try? I am painting this car and have it stripped to a bare shell right now and this has to be perfect!

A trick I use when do a hard line is put some masking tape (3m green or even blue) on the line. Then work above the line. After some time take the tape off and put another piece on so you can work the bottom side.

To do a body crease, your gonna need a "wedge" block & get to that area from the back side.

Get the metal as close as you can, then finish it off to perfection, with a SKIM coat of some quality body filler.

Thats actually a great idea! Thank you very much for that. I'll try it as soon as I get home from work.

And Stephen, I can't explain the situation very well, but it's such a minor dent that you can't even really feel it from the inside of the quarter panel, and it's in a spot where getting a block in there would be hard, or else I would have loved to bang it out. I can't stand the thought of having bondo on my car, but I want it to have perfect lines. Thank you for the idea though!

If its that small of a dent using a little glazing does not qualify as bondo. Its used on all cars. You can also eliminate most tiny dents and ripples with high build primer. Then block sand it down

Re: Small dent on quarter panel crease line

you NEVER use 2k primer as a filler (not even for a small dent) because they shrink with heat. On small dent 1/8" or smaller, you can use glazing putty, and as TOOMANY said use masking tape to achieve the crease
