i will start off with telling u a little back story. i owned a '89 camaro RS my first car/car i always wanted. i kept it all the way through high school.. rebuilt the 305 in auto shop class... put alot of blood/sweat into this car. After graduating hs i shipped off to the marine corps, only to come home after boot camp to find my camaros brand new flomaster exhaust had been ripped off when my brother took my car for a joy ride. so i moved it to my wife(at the time) parents house.. where i was promised it would be garage kept next to there 76 vette.. after 3 tours in iraq and 5 years away me and the wife divorced... which led to my car being left in the middle of the high way outside my house in the middle of the night. Long story short they trashed my car. Steering column torn apart.. the engine was partly taken down gravel in the intake.... the list goes on forever.. so now the car is way past saving... i have recently acquired a 85 berlinetta, i know i know not the best choice but for free i cant complain. Now my plans are to put a 350 into the car along with suspension upgrades, new paint and so on. My question is this Will my 89 rs ground effects fit onto this berlinetta... im aware that the nose GE will not fit.. im going to put the rs bumper cover/nose on it as well... but will these ground effects work or is it gonna be a waste of my time.. PLZ HELP

 

they will work you'll have to take the mounts off of the rockers of your 89 and spot weld them back on the 85. Other than that it s just drilling some holes nothing to hard.

 

and the nose should just be one for one swap correct? sorry for such a long story. new on here wanted to give a little back story of where im coming from.

i'd get that 89 able at least move again, crawl it to here parents house, aim it towards her fathers 76 vette's parking space in thegarage, jamb the gas down and bail out with a note saying they can have the 89 :P i hope you sued her for property damage.

 

actually no i dont know if i got bad advice or what but i was told i couldnt do it cuz they were in possesion of the car and i had no proof other than before and after photos to show the damages.... the lawyer i spoke to told me that the court could say the damage was caused by "normal" circumstances

 

you and your wife divorced while you were over seas protecting this country and they dumped gravel in your intake, broke your column so they can move your car and left it in the middle of the highway in front of your house in the middle of the night where it got destroyed and that's a "normal" circumstance? I'd get another opinion man... >.>
