Red car with black door mirrors?
Lots of other types of cars have chrome or just plain black mirrors. So I have the black to paint a few other things. Head light pockets ect. I needed a new mirror, & the only options where white, or black, so I went with black thinking that it would be easy to just paint them black rather then trying to fool with matching the red paint I have on the car. What do u guys think, & does anyone have pics of a red car with black mirrors?

I've seen it on alot of fourth gens, And i don't think it looks bad.
If you already have other things on the car black go for it.
Post pics after.

I think that it would work. Your car is red so it should make it look unique. Just remember to prep before you paint.

LT1 cars have black mirrors and roofs, I know my buddy's 98 LS1 maro has black mirrors/roof. I like the way it looks, makes the mirrors less noticable.

Cool. Thanks for the advise, and encouragement guys. I have pulled the mirrors off, & just found out I need some fine sand paper. Will get the paint on tomorrow night, & maybe back together. Not sure what they call the hard black plastic behind the mirrors, but I have painted them again too. Should look pretty clean. Just hope I like it.

Mine is red with black mirrors, but it has the little paddle mirrors instead of the bullet style.

Now thats wht i was looking for. Looks sweet.
I am by no means a painter though lol. Sanded with 220 & could see the sanding marks so now I have to wait another day to let the paint dry, then re sand. Got some 400 now. Real fun stuff.

Re: Red car with black door mirrors?
Okay, here's the finish. This I think is one of the best mods Ive done on the exterior. Very cool. Thanks again guys. Oh ya. Also painted the head light pockets. First look was unreal. Felt like a kid unwrapping the Santa gift as I peeled the tape. lol. For the first time in a long time I was pumped about the car.
So im driving back from the car wash, got the stereo blasting, about to go to my dads, when I get a call from the wife. She wants to go. So her, and the one month old baby are getting in, stereo goes on mute. Oh well, us guys have fun with our cars sometimes.
My wife hates my car to a point. Said its too big to drive. So I had her drive it home. 4 years working on this car, and its only about 1 day from being done, and I can leave it alone. She finally for once said she liked it. Guess that means, job well done.
