so about 2 days ago my driver's side headlight wouldnt go down. then none would go down. i thought it was the switch so i replaced it. it wound up being a fuse (the tail lights werent working either but i didnt know that till someone complained about my car).
today i replaced the fuse, and the passenger side headlight went down, but not the other side. the motor doesnt seem to be spinning at all. could this be a burned up motor or something else? from what i understand the headlight motors are expensive and i really dont want to spend all that much money right now. anyone have any suggestions?

When I had this problem I bought 2 new motors for $110 a piece, and it didn't fix it, wound up being the headlight module near the drivers side firewall.

 

would that be in the engine compartment or in the interior? how do i check if it is damaged or not? and finally would it control only one headlight to not go down or would it make both not go down?

 

Back on the firewall inside the engine compartment, has the words "GUIDE" on it.

and yeah, mine was bad, so only one side received power.

 

just to double check too, the headlight module only controls the up/down movements of the headlight right? cuz the light itself works perfectly fine, just wont go up and wont go down lol
