Anyone ever use 3M rust fighter?

I am restoring my car and have fixed most of the rust. But, I am getting paranoid about stopping it from coming back. I have seen guys posting pictures of cars with horrible rust. My car will never see bad weather again but I still want to seal it up good. I had some in my rockers that I was able to cut out and patch. While I had them open I clean out in there as best I could and paint chassis saver in there as far as I could reach but, there was still no way for me to get the whole inside of the rocker coated.

There is a paint shop close to me that sells 3M products and they have some 3M Rust Fighter and a wand that you can run inside these hard to coat panels. Just wondering if anyone has used it. I know sometimes so called rust preventers actually cause rust.

I dont know anything about the rust preventer but any of their other products I have used are great. I would see if there are any user reviews on the product.

Yeah, I have used it in hard to reach places. Its a good product. We spayed some on a metal test panel, and after several years, its still hanging on. Anytime I have cut a pilar or rocker I have used it. Just dont use it on an area you are going to paint.

Oh yeah, if its inside a pilar, you can drill a 1/8 in hole above the weld and spray with the little straw. The product will run down and coat the weld.

if you want more than the 145 speedo in your car or you have the 110 Greg @ Covans classic dash is building the panel for 90-92 camaros to fit custom guages like an autometer 200mph speedo, wouldn't that be sick?

Thanks for the input....I am just looking for some opinions. I see they make aerosol cans of the stuff to. Do you use those or do you have the special gun? They quoted me a price for around $100.00 for the container of stuff I posted above and the gun to spray it.

I have used the aerosol cans. Works well for the places you can reach. As long as its the same product, the way its is applied shouldnt make any difference in the way it works.

But no, I have not used the special gun.

But no, I have not used the special gun.

The gun comes with a wand that sprays 360 degrees that will coat in all directions like in a rocker panel
