2.5 in cowl induction hood with iroc louvers?
Has anyone ever attempted to make one? Maybe cut the hood in the center in the size of the scoop needed. raise it and weld sides to it in the shape of the cowl rake i want.Just thought it would be original since ive never seen one anywhere. Anyone else?

There you go, cowl style IROC hood, called the Turbo hood, some also call it the IROC Daytona hood. I know a guy who filled in the vents, holes, whatever you'd call them, on the side. It made it look like a true cowl hood, kind of neat.

i dont like the shape of the turbo hood and its too expensive for my tastes. i meant the normal shape like an aftermarket stick on one or something. Plus you have to buy louvers for the turbo hood b/c stock ones wont fit.

It will most likely cost you more to do something custom, and it would be rather difficult to do. You can't just go cut through a bolt on cowl scoop, custom fiberglass work isn't easy at all, and even bolt on scoops aren't cheap to begin with.
The only way I would see it possible, is to buy the Turbo hood, find a guy that's good with fiberglass, and have him mold it the way you like it. Or, take a stock IROC hood, a cowl scoop, and have him mold the metal mid section onto a cowl scoop, and back onto the hood.
With any option, you're talking nearly $1,000, unless you can do all of your work, and pretty darn close to professionally.
