recently my drivers side headlight motor wire shorted out (i guess from wear and movement) and it burned up the motor and the module. i got a new module from Top Down Solutions (well, rebuilt) and now im having a problem with my "good" headlight being so dim its almost off.
could this be due to the headlight module? i tried flashing the high beams and it did nothing on the light, when i turned off and on the switch it seemed to fix it (the highbeam light on the dash comes on very very dim when the headlights are on now)

another thing im looking into is if it could be the ground, either way working outside is going to sucks so the less time i have to spend out there the better. lol
anyone have any suggestions?

Sounds to me like one or both of your headlamp connectors need to be replaced. Your "bad" headlight has no ground wire any more, so the voltage applied by the switch is backfeeding into the high beam circuit (turning the high beam indicator "on" dimly when the lights are on). Let me guess, the "bad" light pretty much goes out when you turn the high beams on? Mine did that about 2 years ago before I replaced my DS headlamp connector. Also check the grounds behind the headlight assemblies for damage. Either way, you've lost a ground somewhere there.
