mixing ground effects
mixing ground effects
so i am working on my 86 camaro and i am putting ground effects on it wasnt made with any i am piecing together what i can get my hands on. so the aero gfx were 91-92 and the 85-90 were straight down. that is what i have gotten from other people and looking at pictures. would you be able to line up 91-92 rear bumper with the 85-90 sides and fronts or would it look out of place? i just picked up a chin off a 89 for the front because the solid front i got to swap out with had a damaged chin. but i think i already have a 91-92 rear bumper cover on it.

Re: mixing ground effects
I was an 89 rs near here for sale a while ago and it had the 85-90 gfx on the rear and the doors, and then it had the 91-92 chin spoiler. I think it looks good. I doesn't look out of place at all to me.
Re: mixing ground effects
yeah i believe mine is going just the opposite. i think i already have a 91-92 rear bumper cover on it because it seems like it is flared outward. i picked up a chin from a 89 yesterday. so i think i need the aero sides to line up with the back bumper. he gave me the two rear side pieces and told me they went up front behind the front tires but if i am not mistaking the rocker ground effect covers that section. so i just have to go out to the car and see how well the ones he gave me line up to the rear bumper cover i already have on there. i should be working on it Monday or Tuesday. i don't think the 89 will look bad with the 91-92 sides and rear because it seems like even though it doesn't have the little vent hole on the sides that it still flares kinda outward.
