how much just to paint hood?
just curious wat you guys think i should pay a shop to paint just my hood.
i could do it myself im just waying my options.
forget cheaper or whatever just give me a ball park figure of those who know from experience how much a shop would charge to take just a hood from my car and just sand it and paint it. i'll supply the paint color.
the hood is in good shape but i painted it myself when i was a first time painter and im not satisfied with how the metalic laid out on the center line of my trans am hood.
plus some chips of paint came off while trying to align the headlights that flip up.
so ballpark for painting the hood off the car with very little prep work?
if its too much ill just do it myself. i just wana get ideas here before i bother asking for quotes.

Re: how much just to paint hood?
if there is paint chipping off chances are it will need to be stripped before repainting. i would assume if you took the hood off and brought it to a good shop and let them use their paint 200-300 bucks. its the better way to go because most body shops offer a warranty on their paint products so if you ever had a problem you could just bring it back to them and they will fix it for free.

Re: how much just to paint hood?
ok cool thanks
its only chipped on the inner corners where the damn headlights nicked it. i dabbed alittle clear with a brush to keep water out.
but i can live with 200-300
