Can you help me out?

I live in New York and when iam finish rebuilding my firebird. I wanted to paint it another color instead of RED like some kind of blue. I was woundering how I would get the Title changed for instead of it saying it's a red firebird it's a blue or any other color firebird. Iam going to be painting the car myself. Thanks in advance

just go to dmv and change it
if your reg is due to be renewed you can just change the color in it at that time

here in maryland they basically take your word for it, because eventually a cop is going to run your tag and if you lied to the DMV they would make you go change it lol

Touche.

Here in Ontario, they basically take your word for everything, (odometer reading, color, etc) because they know if you're lying, a cop will find out anyway.

lol, but what i get away with is my insurance, they asked for the mileage of my car, i gave them the real thing(it was at 70,xxx) then they asked my annual mileage, i told them i drive it less than 1 mile a day, and the lady just said ok, so ill put it down as pleasure vehicle, which in turn brought my wife and I's insurance down from $318 a month to $290 a month(we are both under 20 at the time, ill be 21 on the 19th), With FULL coverage on her cobalt and my camaro

sorry for going off topic for a little bit,

but you shouldn't have any problems changing your cars color just tell um you painted it if they ask

Be careful with this I have heard that if the vehicle gets wrecked and has more miles on it than you said it will have, they will not cover it. I am unsure of this but I would definitely find out if that's true or not.

yeah that is true, atleast ive heard it happening, but ive reported my mileage to my company at every renewal, im up to 99,xxx now after 4 1/2 years, but they still consider it a "pleasure vehicle" im guessing because i really do not drive it often maybe twice a month at most(if its not just to run to the 7-11 down the street) but when i do its for 2-300 miles at a time, and the occasional trip to Hershey Park or Ocean City thats always fun
