production probably stopped many years ago and I'd be surprised if many had been made...
The holes in the front are very redundant with the original bumper. Not that good of a design...

Somebody wrote before: "The Kobel ground effects were kinda cool for the time too. The wierd thing about them was that the door pieces covered the entire area below the body line. It was supposed to attach with double sided tape."
This is the best looking aftermarket gfx i have seen for third gens. I only want the front spoiler / air dam gfx from the Kobel kit. Anyone have them for sale individually?

I have those already, infact they may be mine lol as I am on other forums to...I am currently trying to ask Ferrari for permission to use the log on my door sills with the Italia name on it. These will be illuminated once the doors are opened. A company on LS1Tech makes these.

that is what hsilived did. its a sweet car. no word how its doin but thats what alot of people do to make body kits should hold up good i plan to build a set of fiberglass bumpers for mine got the fiberglass just need to get off my lazy but and do it after i get off work sometime.lol

Thirdgen Camaro has very distinct 80s character and look, that's why we like it, so i don't understand, why would someone try to make it mre modern!? if you want more modern looking car, just buy one! )))

Most people get into these cars for the same reason. They are $500 in good condition. Not many other choices for rwd american cars in this price range.

LoL. They aren't expensive, but they aren't quite that cheap either.
Find me a clean example of a running 3rd gen for $500.
Are you missing an extra zero there? Cause $5000 will get you a clean thirdgen.
Now I realize those are not $500, and two of them are fourth gen's but I'm giving you a basic example. During the summer months I often see thirdgens advertised for $800 that end up selling (to Don) for 400-500 that he then parts out. Some of these cars are so clean and straight members cry foul over their destruction. But fact is they are worth more in parts.
just my 2 cents, i have bought the last four of mine for 500 or less, every one of them have ZERO rust, i'm talking not even a little surface rust even on the bottom of the doors. But most people don't drive them in the winter here in Utah, and the summers are way dry. oh and two of them are GTA's

I like this on personally, It was a german made kit, They also had a non-flared kit that looked really good, I wanted one to put on mine so I could ditch the black rubber bumper inserts lol. The wing also looks neat:
i know body kits are a touchy subject to most third gen owners you either love them or you hate them. so I'm gonna start this thread by asking that if you are one them people that hates when someone puts a body kit on there car PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS. thanx. i am posting this thread so people like me that don't want to drive another plain Jane STOCK third gen can get some real info about body kits.
that being said one body kit that i have been looking at lately is the "FX Designs Xtreme Style Body Kit ." which can be found online at http://www.andysautosport.com/pontia...ts/fx_designs/ its gonna be a while till i get the money sved upto restore and mod my bird like i want to. in the mean time i am looking around trying to gather as much info as possible on what to do to my car. so basically what I'm asking is has anyone actually got this or any other good looking body kit on their car or any pictures of a third gen with one. can you please post some pics or tell about the quality and fitment of these or any other body kits for third gens.
i now some one is gonna say search Google or TGO. so im gonna say now that i have and so far most of what i found is a bunch of haters saying stuff like it looks RICE or one of my fav comments that looks like something a storm trooper would drive and that rite there is the reason i started this by asking that the haters PLEASE DON'T REPLY.
