when I bought my camaro, the whole key thing is gone, and the trunk button is not working, any one know a trick how to pop the trunk ? I need it open so I can get window tint . thanks !

 

if the guts are gone, take a thin flat bladed screw driver and put it in the key hole as you would a key. Theres a little slot you want to get it in. Once in turn like a key.

 

Thank you so much, after read this, i ran out side and try it, and it work . but I heard a motor running when I turn it. btw where I can get a whole replacement key from ?

 

Yea its the hatch release, and close down motor. like what the cadallics got. When you pull the trunk down to a certain point, you here a click, and then you stop closing it, the motor does the rest closing it and opening it.

Most auto parts stores will carry the lock cylinder with key for the trunk.
