Rear Quarter Panel adjustment
So I was working on the Firebird yesterday and noticed that the passenger quarter panel is off a bit from the Drivers side. I checked all the lines on both quarters and it seems there is no damage.. Looks like it might have been like this from the get go. Any way I did a search on here to see about adjusting it but found nothing. To cut this short can I use a rubber mallet and straighten it out or will that seriously damage the quarter panel???? I can adjust the rear light a bit but it will still be off. Here are some pics.

Its hard to tell from the pic but are you talking about the gap between the lights and the quarter panel? Maybe you can loosen the brake light assembly and move it over slightly. I dont know if this is even possible but its just a suggestion. You might be able to bang it over but to me that is risky. I think a good body many might have the tools to do it properly.

Re: Rear Quarter Panel adjustment
Our cars are unibodys, which in this case technically means we don’t have ‘quarter panels’. The reason I make the distinctions is because there’s no way to loosen the panes and reposition them. If there’s an issue with alignment the correction must be made else ware, in this case probably the taillights or the rear hatch depending on what you were referring to. Hope this helps.

Thanks I will try adjusting the bumper and tail lights themselves... Probably to risky to hit it with a rubber mallet. Don't want to make a little thing into a Big one...
