Hood fitting question

Axle/Gears: 3.73
Hood fitting question
I have an 84 z28 with a 350, TBI, with 1 in adapter plate to mate the TBI to a Edelbrock Performer RPM intake. I will be putting a drop down element to it. But my biggest question is will that fit under a stock hood. I currently have a 6 in cowl hood and hate it.
