Are my Hood Hinges worn out? One side hangs up?

I think I know the answer to this.. But when I lift my hood one side will raise before the other side in the rear and kinda put it in a bind. Then I got to kinda twist it so the other side will start to come up. The lift supports work and hold the hood up. So I'm thinking the hinges have to much slop. Any ideas?

Yea I'd hate to paint the car and it binds up and nicks the fenders. I'd cry

a good cleaning & re-lube of all pivot points will do wonders . i'm not being sarcastic , i have been there . i haved used wd-40 to clean all ( ALL ) pivot points & white lithium spray to lube . clean well & re-lube . good luck .

also check to make sure that with the initial bind it hasn't bent your hinge outa shape just a little. my new 87 model had this issue and I did the clean and relube but it still bound, found the rear bar bent just ever so slightly, and after straightening it works wonderful.
