t-bar on t-tops
I've been thinking----
when we started to get things rounded up for our Camaro, I noticed on the t-top bar, bottom side, one end had a 4 inch square piece of soft rubber pad, about 1/8 or 1/16 inch thick, the other end didn't.
Is there supposed to be anything on the other end?
Is there some sort of weather stripping material or something supposed to go the full length on the bottom of the bar??
Is there a front & rear end to the bar, & if so, how do you tell them apart??
Thanks for any insight!!

I think what you are referring to is whats called strip caulking. It goes between the T-top bar and the body to seal any water from getting in there. Please somebody correct me if I am wrong because is what I am planning to use when I put mine back on.

Bad thing is, it's been on for a couple yrs, & I'm getting tired of getting wet when I wash it, or get caught in a light rain.
I've been thinking about pulling some back & putting some black bathtub caulk around the screws & beading all around between the bar & body, and using some dumdum under the outer edges of the weather stripping.
That's 1 reason I was also wondering if there is a front end & rear end specific way to put it on...?...
If that doesn't work, then I'll have to save for the real GM stuff!! Maybe even try to find someone selling some GOOD used GM stuff!!
