I am restoring a 1983 Camaro and can't figure how to remove cable from toggle

 

I think it pulls through the door and out with the removal of the mirror - it's been so long since I swapped to power mirrors I don't remember

 

The only part that really comes apart, is where the remote **** mounts to the bezel on the door panel. There's a steel locking plate that holds the **** assembly to the bezel, carefully turn it 90* and it'll pop out. The rest of the assembly stays attached to the mirror, unless you feel like removing the mirror glass and unscrewing the adjuster from the mirror housing. But you'd still have to fish the remote cable out of hte door.
