Removing and replacing door skins!
Has anyone done this? How much work would that be? I know Eastwood sells door skin pliers but...

Re: Removing and replacing door skins!
Some yrs ago, HotRod or CarCraft did a skin change.
VERY vague memory, but I know it wasn't a 3rd gen F body.
Just a quick " Reader's Digest " dusty memory--
IIRC, it's got to do with getting the welds // spotwelds taken care of--
I don't recall exactly how but it seems there was a small grinder involved, and LOTS of patience. Maybe some spotwelds too , I don't know.
Care must be taken so as not to grind thru any door support structures.
RE-attaching // welding -- kinda slow because it's gotta be right so it looks straight, gaps are good, etc.
Mostly a time consuming process even if you know what you're doing.
I can't weld and have no patience, so the bodyshop likes to see me pull up!! LOL!!
I'm sure you'll get someone to direct you in detail, so good luck!!

Re: Removing and replacing door skins!
Does anyone sell new doorskins for 3rd gens? I have never seen any so I'm just wondering if they make any. If not why would you go this route? Wouldn't it be easier to just buy the whole used door since you would obviously need a used door to begin with.
