z28 hood
z28 hood
I have been looking for a hood with the two louvers. My question is that is there a difference in the hoods over the years. I found a hood that is on a crossfire camaro but the hood has some sort a flap under the louvers that is associated with the crossfire. I was just wondering was this something rigged up or is there a diifference in the I guess you call it "louvered hood" over the years?

Re: z28 hood
The crossfire z28's had an actuator that opened the flaps to intake cold air from outside. The standard z28 hoods had the same scoops, only non functional. In 1985 the hoods had wider scoops which were louvered, but still non functional. I think beginning in 1990 the z28's got a revised scoop that faced rearwards and were still non functional.
