Hello guys. I just purchased a 83 trans am with the functional turbo hood scoop. The hood isnt in the best shape and I can get my hands on a newer formula hood with the turbo bump. My question is can I remove the functional piece from the old hood and put it in the newer one without to much hastle. thanks everyone.

 

Yes you can, very easy, you can swap the entire assembly out. Basically on the Formula hood you have to take out the filler piece and replace it with the screen so that the air can flow in. And then just bolt on the rest.
