T-Top help !!!
T-Top help !!!
After you remove the t-tops, there is a metal plate in the center of the roof on both sides( they rust out). How the hell do you remove the plates so you can repair them??? I removed the 3- screws on both sides but now am stuck.....

It is also held on with adhesive tape. Just gently pry it up with a screwdriver.

gently is an understatement. I had to fight mine to the end before it came off. Good luck w/it and becareful not to knock yourself (my screwdriver broke in the process and I amost hit myself).

Re: T-Top help !!!
You have to remove the weatherstripping to get to all of the screws. And yes you can gently remove them by using something more like a putty knife and slow and steady pressure. Heat may help as well but I never had access to that. If you bend it it will be a bitch to get it straight again but you may also be able to get one from a junk yard that isn't rusted. I just sold one not long ago for around $30.
