wet carpet driver side AND passenger side

after I changed myweaterstripping of My T-topped car, I found out that the new seals leaked everywhere.
now with the help of some sealant I was able close up most of the waterleakage.
yet I still havent found why both sides of the carpet ( passenger and driver ) are wet ( almost soaked ) near the feet.
the water is comming in from somewhere I just cant seem to find how it enters.

I know its not the heater core.

Did you bridge the gap from the A pillar to the roof? The yellow "C" is where I'm talking about only on the A pillar. It needs to be bridged with windshield rope caulk. There is one of these on the B pillar also which is shown in this picture.

I thought I did, but now I did, I also did the complete A pilar ( even behind the bar where the weaterstripping goes in. and I just redid the same part on the driverside 2.

Just saw that the passangers side is still leaking in somewhere

Re: wet carpet driver side AND passenger side

I have the same problem with my 91 z-28. The water is getting in under the hood, where the wheel well meets the firewall. It rusts out in the "valley" and you can prob. stick a long screw driver down through that area and see it from the inside. At least in my car you can

Re: wet carpet driver side AND passenger side

nope, passenger side is coming from the roof found it and sealed it. ( I think )

drivers side, looks like there is a hole in my front inner fender ( where you can put 4 fingers in ). the water gets swiped pwarts against that hole, and it flies against my firewall insulation where it and then gets down to the carpet.
