EASY! Just take one of the door locks out and take it to your nearest locksmith!

Re: Hatch/door locks

Since you don't have a clue how to do it why not call the local locksmiths in
your area and ask if any of them can do it with the locks still ON the car?

Some know the tricks and can possibly do it.

Removing a lock yourself is easy and there are several removal threads here.
Do a search..................

Re: Hatch/door locks

It used to be possible to have a GM dealer look up the key code by your vin number. They could just punch out a new key while you waited. Might be worth a call.

It is pretty easy... On the flip side of that, you could also go on ebay and buy a complete set (2 door locks and one trunk lock) for around $40 to $50, and that comes with 2 new keys.

I have a local guy that does nothing but come to you , and he does it for 55 dollars includes two keys and all you got to do is prove it is your vehicle.

Re: Hatch/door locks

What would you suggest if my driver's side door lock was actually STOLEN the last time my car was raped of its stereo? Is there any way to get a lock that will match the keys that work on the passenger door and trunk, or do I need to get them all replaced? It looks SO ghetto, but GM told me it would be $400 and I would have a third key. Does that seem right? Appreciate any advice.

Wow that's rough I'd just hit up a Pep-Boys or Autozone for the locks, its only three and they should be able to get all of them to match if not buy one and get the other two keyed to match the new one, . I wouldn't keep the old key design. And wouldn't go to a stealership.

Even check on line for the Dorman/HELP line or check other online vendors.
Some sell a complete 3 lock and key set for the cam/birds for less than $50
bucks and replace all 3.
