Trunk sits at an angle?

So I noticed the other day that rain was getting into my hatch. So I went ahead and purchased some extra weather stripping since mine appeared intact. well, after positioning the new stripping many ways and still couldn't get the trunk to close straight. Well after taking it all out I realized it never closes straight, which would cause my problem. But I dont see any reason why it wouldn't close correctly. Anyone have an idea?

Do a search on this site for Hatch Alignment 101. There is a tech article on this site that is good on how to cure this common third gen problem. Only thing I'd do different then what they say is use urethane glass adhesive. Most glass sealers will not hold enough to last.
