1991 rs vinyl top molding.
My 91 RS has a vinyl top and im looking for the molding that goes between the vinyl and the paint on the rear posts. i know vinyl tops werent factory on these cars, so somewhere along the line somebody decided it would look good on this car. its still in good shape, just no molding so it looks crummy. if anyone has a vinyl top on their 3rd gen id like to know what molding youve used. oh yeah, my car is a t-top also, so techinically its a t-tops with vinyl across the back and down the windshield posts.....kinda different.

Yep that's different. Those aftermarket moldings were cut, form to fit. Find an upholstery shop that does vinyl tops local. They're not as many of them around any more but you should be able to find one.

WEIRD! I've seen some vinyl tops before on cars that shouldn't have them (mostly newer Buicks and Cadillacs, and for some reason newer Camrys), but never seen or even heard of one on a third gen. Of course they were factory on 1st gens and some early 2nd gens.
To answer your question, that piece is going to need to be fabricated. Not a chance that anyone mass produces vinyl top trim for a third gen. Your best bet is going to be a trim/upholstery shop.

Somewhere on here there is a picture of a 3rd gen which surprisingly didn't look as bad as it sounds but still not my style, but this car and the other one I referred to are the only ones I've ever heard of.

ill be posting pics as soon as i get the molding on it. i only paid $400 for the car so its not the nicest by any means but not bad for a car to play around in.
