paint ideas

i am planing out the paint job on my curent project 83 firebird, i am working on doing body work over the winter but am looking figure out my final paint job as inspration/motivation

my first one is black with red stripes ( copied them off a iroc-z i wanted to buy in grade 6) not the best photo editing

the next one is simmlar but has black bottom grey roof with red stripe divider (inspired by a suburban i seen like it)

Eh. it will be flashy/r1cy IMHO but its your car.

I like the second one though, could look nice without the zigzag stripe at the end and maybe more contrasting colours? I dont know though do whichever you like best

the second pic looks great , but imo would look even better without the red on the ground effects. the first looks kinda 80's ish. but pic what pleases you the most.

its supose to look 80ish thats the look i am going after s/s crager wheels,bfg radial t/a , the window louvers, coul induction hood, old superior performance 500 wood stering wheel, hurst floor shifter mega shifter ect.

its a 1980's car and it should look like one if you got some ideas let me know if i missed anything

i like the 2nd one it gets my vote! 2 thumbs way way up! and what do you think about smoked side markers? would blend better.

Well it's your car but personally I don't think anything looks better than a nice solid color (no 2 or 3 tones), my philosophy on stripes and graphics is they were big in the late 60s, 70s and started getting toned down in the 80s and if you ask me why is most cars of the 60s and 70s were pretty ugly and throwing stripes and graphics on them made them look a little better and when the 80s rolled around cars were starting to look better and they started to realize they didn't need the stripes. In my opinion the best looking 3rd gens are 91-92s where they had no stripes or graphics at all I don't know I guess they just look cleaner.

i like the second one the best too,smoked markers would look great ,defiantly will do that
