I haven't seen this rubber piece is this something that comes with the windshield when you get it replaced or is it a separate item i would have to buy? mine is dried out and would like to replace it along with the windshield glass but dont know if its something i will need extra?

 

I doubt it'd come with the windshield... your best bet is to get it from a junkyard. I just picked one up a couple weeks ago that's as good as new, and didn't have any trouble getting it off. You can probably buy that piece, but you can bet anyone making it new will want you to pay way more than it's worth.

 

I just had a new windshield put in & they put in a new strip. Whether it is an "extra" item or not, I dunno. I had to replace my whole windshield & they put ion a rubber strip too. Don't think those are exactly removable & replaceable anyways.

 

Get a NOS one from modern day muscle, it's only $40, and it's correct.
