Spring on cervinis cowl hood?

Spring on cervinis cowl hood?
Got the bolt on cervini's cowl hood everything installed except for the spring that lifts the hood when you pull the latch. There is 3 holes drilled on the hood where it would go, but on my old hood the spring perch is stamped into the hood not bolted on. Is there some kind of trick to putting the spring on to you have to buy something anyone got a picture of theirs?
