Sagging door after TDS Kit

I finally got tired of having to slam my door every time i wanted to close it. Kinda makes it look like i'm always pissed at my car or something, so i got the greasable hinges from top down solutions which is really andyz28 hinge kit for some reason a few bucks cheaper. Anyways i installed the kit by my door is still off by a quarter of an inch, I dont have any alignment tools but my idea right now is loosen the adjustable bolts on the hinge just a slight bit and use a jack to lift the door then tighten bolts again, anyone done this before? tips? ideas?

Hate to hear that as I just got my TDS hinge kit in yesterday....

Please follow up with what you find out! I would call TDS and talk to them. They were very helpful with me on the phone!

Did you mark the door hinges before you took the door off? If not, you may just be out of alignment. We rebuilt a door hinge off of 91 Z28 about 6 weeks ago and marked the hinges before removing and with the new hinge kit in, it was almost perfect.

Yes that should fix it. Try not to loosen both hinges at the same time as the door may move down on you and rub the rocker molding.

Re: Sagging door after TDS Kit

the using a jack method is actually a common process lol you hit the nail on the head

loosen one hinge jack it up just a little tighten and keep going with that same process till its right some guys have quoted that they have to actually go with two bolts instead of three cause it sagged that much

haha yeah well i loosened bolts and jacked it up but just couldnt get it to stay up, i loosened just top bolts and bottem were tight, jacked it, it went up, but then went right back down. took it to the body shop and they did the rest of the work for me. door closes with the slightest effort and one thing it also opens with the slightest effort, its amazing, i was gonna use that 100 to buy tickets to see ozzy again but im definitely happy with my purchase
