I've heard of guys epoxying bolts on there and securing them with nuts.

Re: hood louvers Iroc

Epoxy worked on mine when I refinished the louvers.

Try 1A Auto for hood insulation.

Re: hood louvers Iroc

Bolt. The epoxy holds the bolt better since it has the bolt head to adhere around - more surface area = better hold.

Re: hood louvers Iroc

I saw a post where they used velcro tape making it easy to pull the louvers off to clean underneath them-just a thought that I might try

Re: hood louvers Iroc

I epoxed the broken ones with short bolts with nuts and lock washers.replaced the old rubber washers between the louver and hood while at it.Is there anything that I can put on them to bring them back to a dark black that wont crack or flake?

Re: hood louvers Iroc

Yeah, Underhood heat was not nice to the Plastic Studs on those, Must be why they went to Metal Studs on the 91-92 Blisters.

I wonder why an aftermarket Company has not reproduced these, they would make a killing. Unless GM won't release the rights?
