Basically the old wrap around spoiler rotted off and I put on the older style spoiler. I will probably need a third light to pass inspection next month and just wanted to stick one on just to get through. Not really looking for something permanent. Where would be the best place to get one? I remember seeing some stick on ones in a towing magazine but I can't remember what the company was called.

Your local auto parts should store should be able to identify a solution for you. havnt thought about getting another spoiler with a light in it?

 

I have, I thought about the Hawks wrap around spoiler but that's 400+ dollars on a spoiler that isn't a perfect fit when I can just wire one up with the existing connections for the day. I'll check one of the parts store this weekend. I don't recall seeing any stick-on third brake lights but it's worth a look.

On second thought, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to mount one on for good. If someone could show me how their third brake light is mounted to their hatch (glass) I would really appreciate it.

 

the hawks 5 inch spoiler doesnt have a brake light in it if thats what you are thinking about.

A lot of poeple swap in the 91-92 hatches they have the third brake light in the rear hatch window

 

I still have the light assembly from my old spoiler. I was told that you are able to put the old assembly on the spoiler...but either way, I don't feel like buying that.

That's what I was thinking, or at least going to a junkyard and looking at the firebirds and camaros there with third lights in the glass to see how they are wired.
