Ram air hood on a 1985 trans am

I have been planning on buying a ram air hood for my third gen, and just the other day a car backed into mine and destroyed the hood and front bumper.... So I figure this would be a great time for such a modification. The problem is, i can't seem to decide where to buy the hood from.

Has anybody purchased on of these ram air hoods for a thirdgen and been more than happy with it? Has anyone been disappointed with one? Please give me your opinions, I do NOT want to end up with a crappy hood!!

will post pics when completed! Thanks!

Hawks would be your best bet for a Ram air hood. I personally like the 1st version(93-97 design) on the Ram Air hoods.

I plan on experimenting with making my first fiberglass hood this summer since I have experience in fiberglass molding and part making for Air strippers in that industry.

If your insurance will cut you a decent check, you can get a new fiberglass hood to replace the factory hood that was destroyed. Thats what i would do if mine was damaged.
