GTA Hood vents

GTA Hood vents

Hey guys ,
I have an 89 GTA that is finally going to see some paint..We stripped off all the ground effects lights and mirrors ..Only thing i have left is the hood vents .Anyone out there know how these come out.. The front two have bolts i see but the side ones , Close to the cowl dont appear to have bolts..Snap in? Any help is always appreciated..

They snap in and are a nightmare only because many end up breaking. A small flashlight (metal in case you drop in and can use magnet to get back), and a flat head screw driver with a long handle will be what you need, and when you look in the tiny two holes next to the hood hinge mounting bolts, you should be able to get one easily, and one semi-hard. Do the semi-hard one first, so that you don't break that clip getting the easy one first after prying.

Glad it worked out great for you. Been a while since I had to do mine, but I remember they weren't fun, and everytime I see a hood in the yard, someone tries to grab them and always breaks them.
