Car: 1985 Pontiac Firebird S/E
Engine: 350, .5 lift cam, Holly 650
Transmission: Monster Transmission 700R4-2K stall
Axle/Gears: 4th gen 10 bolt, 3.42
headlights

headlight cover for a 1992 firebird trans am is the same as the 1985 firebird right?

In another thread on here it was said that the covers bolt up the same but that the driver side for 91-92 say pontiac on them. I just did alot of swapping on my firebird so I have read alot of these posts relatively recently.

No, They are not. There is 1 mounting tab that is in a different spot on the 91-92 Headlight Door/Covers. If you want to mount it on a 82-90 car, you will need to remove that Tab (Cut it off)

Thank You for correcting me. I generally hesitate to reply because I dislike the idea of giving wrong information such as this. I will check sometime at the house to see what tab you are talking about but I have no doubt at all that you are right. Once again I would like to thank you for correcting me.
