Because the availability of 1st and 2nd gens is drying up and people are starting to get interested in 3rd Gens again (cheap, V8 platform). Back in the early 90's when I was in high school you could still find a decent 67-69 camaro for about 4-5 grand. 2nd gens where selling for 2000 or less. and 3rd gens where still expensive cause the last one was built in 92. Hold on to your 3rd gen and in ten more years it will be worth even more.

I'm envious of you guys that live out in Washington... I spent four years out there when I was stationed at Fort Lewis and it was the best time of my life! While I lived out there I bought a 70 Camaro SS, and a 85 IROC. In 1999 I paid $4500 for the 70, and $3500 for the IROC... man do I wish I still had both of those cars and still lived in Washington. There is an awesome car scene out there especially in Tacoma and Puyallup.

Its beautiful here in the Summer but the winters are too damn long!! Can you believe we have only had 1 day over 70 since November 5th?? The last few days have been mid 50's!! Its been a cold spring and Im ready for some sun!!

--On the plus side cars around here dont rust and things like paint and interiors stay very nice because of the cool temps....

Looks like the market for a clean L98 Camaro on ebay is around $8,500.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT $8,633.99 (Sold)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT $8,450.00 (Reserve Not Met)

Considering how clean those cars are, I think that's still pretty cheap. How much did these cars cost new?

At On the one that was sold , did anybody else notice the foliage that was surrounding it. That was a good deal. One would have to be " high " to sell it at that price. Haha.
