Sitting in the grass

A friend of mine is selling an 86 Iroc. The only hold up is that it sat in the yard for a while and the brake lines are rusted....Should this be a red flag? Is there anything else I should look for when going to see the car?

Re: Sitting in the grass

A while??

Under side rust, old // watered down gas, mice // rats nests in the engine bay, chewed wires // harnesses, mold // mildew, locked up brakes, radiator & hoses condition & all fluids.

Re: Sitting in the grass

As noted by others, sitting in the grass will rot the car really fast. Rodents can also be a major issue, not only chewed wires but them living in the heat ducts etc.
