Weather stripping, will Chevy still do these?

I just don't get it I ordered seals from 1a Auto to replace my weatherstripping, replaced them and nothing but leaks where the ttop hatch seals meats the ttop body seals. In order to get a good seal on the front that doesn't leak it leaves a 1 inch gap in the back.

1a auto sent me a second set of seals and they had the same exact problem. Now 1a auto told me I can return the seals, but even though they are leaking they are the only thing protecting my interior from rain, can't simply remove them and send them back.

I even tried sticking some of the old stripping that I didn't throw a way in the gap to see if I could get it to seal but it's no good. Seriously though look at these pictures at how bad the fit is on these seals. In these pictures although the front is touching it's not a good seal and will leak. Also although the picture of the back looks like the plastic piece from the ttop might be pushing down on the stripping, it's not even touching it. It's past it in the picture just somewhat hard to tell that.

I've had enough of it, besides never buying from 1a auto again for the crappy product and the lack of a resolution that doesn't involve me leaving my interior wide open to rain, I'm just ready to pay someone else to do this stripping for me so that if it leaks I can take it back to them and keep taking it back until they get it right.

So does anyone know if Chevy will still work on these, or know of anyone that will thats remotely close to SC?

Thanks

I ordered a set of t top seals and they also have the gap problem you talk about...The instructions say that you have to use 3m adhesive and also 3m polyurethane as a filler where the gaps are for the t top or as the problem you are having. Also found leaving the seals out in the sun for a while helped with installing

sorry to see you're still having issues with your install. we have offered a few different routes to go on this one, but there are only so many options we have available to get this resolved. We're still waiting to hear back from your since we emailed you yesterday.

as for the fit, we've been selling them for years with many happy customers. yes, t-top vehicles are tricky for install. i don't think anyone will tell you otherwise. and yes, the aftermarket ones may require a bit more work/tweaking/etc to get them to fit right compared to the OE's - they also cost about half of the GM ones. but that can and do work for a lot of people without breaking the bank. However, for those who want nothing but the best, we do offer the GM originals for these seals.

Weatherstripping is one area you don't want to skimp, get the genuine GM stuff when possible...it's well worth it, especially when you consider it keeps the car from rotting out.

I went to the dealership years ago to get some weatherstripping for my Trans Am and the parts manager told me to Google Soffseal.com He said this is manufacture for GM weatherstripping. They were fairly priced too!
