O.K. So I went through quite a bit of threads about adding ground effects to base models. How about removing them? Has anyone permanently removed them from their TA/GTA? Reason for the question is that I'm considering creating a Formula 350/GTA hybrid.

The cars that came with ground effects have a tab on the side for them. Runs under the doors. It would look like crap unless you took that off and repainted the sides.

You can see some of it in my pic below.

 

Also, you would have a lot of holes to weld up as well, but that is not that bad.

 

Then you will need to swap out the front and rear bumper covers as these had the ground effects molded in. The driving/fog lights will not fit the same if at all.
I am not sure about 82-84 but sure about 85-92 bumper covers. The driving lights on a 91-92 bumper will still fit though.
Remove the metal strip on the rocker panels and fill all the holes and you would be all set.

 

if those ground effects are in good shape you got a buyer right here! I need the driver and passenger sides BAD!

 

GTA fans REJOICE! I found a nice '89 Formula 350. No need to destroy the GTA.
